To Whom It May Concern:

 

 On Monday, July 26^th, 2010, the School Board of the HSCA made the difficult decision not to re-open the academy for the 2010-2011 school year.  This is an institution that has been a part of our lives at High Street for the past 32 years.  We will miss its laughter, its outcries, its shouts of  Bible verses, and all the other sentimental experiences we have enjoyed for these 32 years.

 

This decision came after much deliberation as we face a $24,000 deficit coupled with low enrollment. At the same time, the church’s treasury has been  depleted to an all time low and is no longer able to offset the growing deficits if the HSCA.

It is our hope and desire. to take this time of hiatus to remodel/renovate and renew our purpose and optimistically expect to be able to re-open.
